Sorvegliare e punire, monitorare e sedurre. Forme contemporanee del controllo tra disciplina e governamentalità

The paper presents a brief introduction to the topic of surveillance, starting from the works of Michel Foucault and Gilles Deleuze and their relationships with the methodological framework provided by Semiotics and the Theories of Signification. It aims at highlighting the core questions – both theoretical and thematic – addressed by this issue and it sums up the general structure of the volume by briefly presenting each contribution.
