Valli da pesca alla riscossa: ultimi fuochi o nuovi orizzonti?

With an unexpected decision, the Italian Council of State restarts a debate that has apparently been outdated for some time. In fact, the administrative judges have stated that the central administration must concretely define which fishing farms (“valli da pesca”) in the Venice Lagoon are not State property. In this way, even if it concerns a single case, the sentence adds a further element to the well-known rulings formulated on the point by the Italian Court of Cassation and the European Court of Human Rights, reopening the doubts on the outcomes relating to the controversial cases dealt with so far.
