Intercultural communication situations can be described utilizing various scientific models which examine the diversity differences and analyze possible misunderstandings. Through examples of culture specific forms of politeness, the possibilities and limitations of these methods will be presented, and an interdisciplinary approach to language teaching and professional training will be recommended.
