With the help of the electronic Sound Perception Trainer (SPT), which enables the auditory perception of the target language even in adult foreign language learners, a 50% acceleration in achieving different language skills can be achieved in a systematic pronunciation training compared to conventional methods. The book makes an excursion into the partial aspects of phonological competence and affirms the question of the learnability of foreign languages in adulthood. This forms the scientific background for the methodological-didactic discussion of Audio-Lingua pronunciation training (ALA). The efficiency of this method integrating the SPT was proven in a European-wide research project.
