Die Stimme als Zeitzeugin. Werberhetorik im Hörfunk / Kaunzner, Ulrike A.. - (2021), pp. 1-254.
abstract:
The voice plays an important role in radio - it still shapes the sales strategies of this advertising medium and has changed considerably since the beginning of radio. Voices bear witness to social desiderata, social and economic circumstances; they express the speakers' disposition and characterize role relations and clichés. The most obvious changes are to be found in female voices.
The author examines commercials of various product groups from the 1950s onward. In addition to the linguistic (phonetic) characterization of the voices, the question of the voice as a contemporary witness in sales rhetoric is raised.
