abstract:
The work represents a continuation of a European research on the topic of women's drug addiction. The phenomenon under study was approached with a qualitative methodology and through comparison with results of previous research experiences. In particular the opinions expressed by women drug users in 5 European countries about their history of abuse and in relation to the problems related to processing activities were analysed. This is to report the most important issues to consider in order to identify appropriate treatment strategies, given the specialized nature that the phenomenon of drug abuse takes on in relation to gender identity.Contributions arising from the professional experience in terms of treatment, even inside penitentiary, were also reported.
