Repraesentatio. The Reasons for an Historical and Conceptual Mapping

The international workshop held in San Miniato (October 13 - 16, 2004) was a step forward within a larger project devoted to the study of synod and synodality in the governance of Churches. The «repraesentatio conference» was an attempt to initiate a sort of dictionary of the keywords implemented (or discarded) in the history of synodical government. With an interdisciplinary approach, the workshop's proceedings provide a deep analysis of repræsentatio as a keyword for all collective processes of governance.
