A prosthetic valve apparatus (10), in particular for cardiac applications. The apparatus (10) comprises a valve prosthesis (20) fastened to a suture ring (30). The apparatus (10) further provides for the valve prosthesis (20) to be fastened to the suture ring (30) by means of a plurality of magnets (21d, 30b) which provide a magnetic attraction between the two components.
