Narrazioni transculturali: italofonie e canone letterario

Chapter
Publication Date:
2025
Short description:
Narrazioni transculturali: italofonie e canone letterario / Vinci, Serena. - (2025), pp. 269-280.
abstract:
This paper shows how the literary text by authors
borned in foreign countries, who migrated to Italy and who
chose Italian as the language for their literary expression,
dialogue with contemporary literary works by Italian writers
who are part of the Canon. This allows their contextualization
into the Italian literary panorama of the Twentieth century. For
example, Edith Bruck, Helga Schenider, Elisa Springer, Saul
Israel, are echos of Primo Levi's testimony. Instead, Predrag
Matvejević's historical fiction influenced Claudio Magris's
representation of Central European literature and was influenced
by it in turn. These are thematic nuclei and stylistic declinations
which Giorgio Pressburger's work also gravitates around.
