abstract:
This volume, designed for students enrolled in degree programs in Educational Sciences for early childhood services and socio-pedagogical professions, as well as for educators and pedagogical professionals already engaged in early childhood and social educational services, offers both a theoretical and practical contribution to the Pedagogy of Early Childhood and the Family through the lens of Critical Pedagogy.
While adopting a textbook-like structure, the work seeks to maintain a non-schematic interpretative approach, addressing key issues in the discipline - such as conceptions of parenthood, the profile of the educational figure, critical-reflective attitudes, educational abuse, the ethical dimension, and the pedagogical setting - and illustrating educational contexts and processes related to services such as nursery schools, home-based educational support, neutral spaces for supervised meetings, parent groups, and pedagogical supervision in professional teams.
Each chapter is accompanied by bibliographic references for further study, and each section includes reading recommendations, thereby facilitating both the critical analysis of the most relevant topics and orientation in the study of the discipline as well as in professional educational practice with children and families.
