abstract:
This paper aims to analyse the Italian legislative system as legislatio libertatis. Without neglecting to highlight strengths and weaknesses, it investigates the reasons for the substantial diversity of treatment between the Catholic Church (Lateran Pacts of 1929 and Villa Madama Agreement of 1984) and others religious confessions (by individual agreements or by Law no. 1159/1929).
