ROMAGNOLI Marcello

Prof.Marcello Romagnoli received his Master in Chemistry in 1991. From 1992 to 1993 he was responsible for the private chemical laboratory Ispral in Sassuolo (Italy). From 1994 to 2002 he was employed at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia as a technician. From 2002 to 2021 he was Associate Professor of Materials Science (SSD ING-IND/22) at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in Materials Science. Since 2021, Marcello Romagnoli has been a full professor in the same scientific field at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia in Materials Science. He currently teaches:
- Hydrogen and Fuel Cell in Electric (Master Degree Course: Advanced Automotive Engineering).
- Fuel cells (Master Degree Course: Engineering for Environmental Sustainability);
- Applied chemistry to materials (Degree Course: Civil and Environmental Engineering)
At the University of San Marino:
- Chemistry applied to materials, environment and recycling (Degree Course: Civil Engineering)
Since the beginning of his career, he has tutored the research activity of:
- more than 60 theses;
- 2 doctoral candidates;
- 3 post-doc.
The scientific activity of Prof. Marcello Romagnoli takes place mainly in the field of ceramic materials and fuel cells. He is the author of 80 articles on international scientific journals and presentations at conferences, 1288 citations, H-index 21. He is Editorial Board Member of Ceramic MDPI and reviewer for several international scientific journals. He has participated in four European projects as unit coordinator, one of which, in 2020, won the FCH-JU Best Innovation award for its revolutionary approach to fuel cell production. The author of the patent: "A reflective paint and a method for its use" (W0200 20 2897S).
