Matteo Rinaldini is Associate Professor of Economic Sociology at the Department of Communication and Economics, UNIMORE. He was visiting fellow at the Working Lives Research Institute - London Metropolitan University. His main research interests are organizational innovation, technological transofrmations and changes in work organization. He is member of the PhD Board "Computer and data Science for Technological and Social Innovation" at UNIMORE.
Since 2012 he has carried out researches about remote working at GIUnO, the research unit on organizational processes of DCE-UNIMORE. Since 2016 he has co-managed research projects for the Sabattini Foundation on transformations of work, Industry 4.0 and lean production. In the same period, he was senior researcher in several FAR (Fondi di Ateneo per la Ricerca) multi-year projects on collaborative spaces, digitization of work and smart working. In 2019 he was co-coordinator of the project "The development of collaboration and co-working spaces: profiles, organizations and impacts on innovation and transformations of work" co-funded by the European Social Fund 2014-2020. In 2021 he was called by the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy to join the "Agile Work Study Group." In 2021-2022 he was Project Manager of the research project "Cases Studies of Automation in Services," University of Bari, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Institute of Advanced Studies Sant'Anna of Pisa funded by the Joint Research Centre (JRC) - European Commission. Since 2022, he has been responsible for the project "Socioeconomic and environmental impacts of the electric mobility transition," Axis IV - Education and Research for Recovery - REACT-EU, Action IV.4.
