- Professor Eugenio Dragoni and Dr Davide Castagnetti of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, Italy, have been chosen as the winners of the 2011 prize for their paper ‘Concentration of shear stresses in shallow periodic notches’ was considered by members of Structural Technology and Materials Group to be the best of all papers published in 2011 – not just the Journal of Engineering Materials (Part L) but also the Journal of Strain Analysis and papers with a materials focus in the Journal of Mechanical Sciences and Technology (Part C).
