The HybridTec project aims to design, prototype, and test a lightweight and compact hybrid power unit for motorcycles compared to solutions currently in development. This addresses various issues in the transportation sector, contributing specifically to the reduction of emissions and noise pollution in urban centers, as well as decreasing the demand for fossil fuels. Through the optimization of the power unit's architecture, a high level of integration of electrical components can be achieved. This allows easy integration into high-power motorcycles, where fully electric architectures have not yet been optimized. The hybrid power unit will be characterized by a lower weight (35 kg) and the same power (80 kW) as thermic engines with similar performance. It is estimated to provide a 25% energy savings, a 25% cost reduction, and a 15% increase in motorcycle autonomy compared to competitors on the market. Additionally, thanks to the electric motor, the project aims to achieve performance that is 20% superior in terms of acceleration and maximum speed compared to motorcycles in which it can be integrated.
