A Digital Twins-enabled platform for a REsilient and Sustainable production in the InduSTry 5.0 era

Project
The fourth industrial revolution (I4.0) establishes that digital transformation is an essential process for companies looking to strengthen their competitiveness in the global market. The new I5.0 revolution raises the bar by emphasizing challenges of resilience, sustainability, and a "human-centric" growth vision. RESIST0 aims to address these challenges by offering tools to the industrial manufacturing sector to improve the resilience and sustainability of their production cycles. Specifically, the project will develop digital services, provided through a software platform, for managing production lines and the supply chain based on the use of Digital Twins and supported by IT technologies such as Cloud/Edge Computing, Big Data, and AI. Through the software platform, companies can create digital models of business assets dedicated to production, have a virtual environment for conducting secure simulations of production line processes for both humans and machines, and ultimately build a reliable supply chain based on an innovative rating model for stakeholders in the industry, incorporating parameters of social and environmental sustainability.
