Project
ESCALATION is a project that aims to create a flexible and extensible framework based on micro-services for solving optimization problems in different contexts. The qualifying elements of the proposal are the attention to scalability and to security. As optimization problemas are computationally expensive tasks, it is important to explore solutions such as clud computing architectures. From this point of view, the project axploits the shole copmuting contonuum spectrum, combining classic cloud computing and edge-based solutions such as fog computing. In addition, given the presence of data of high value or with sensitivity characteristics that are processed during the resolution of problems, great attention is devoted to identifying solutions that follow a security-by-design approach. The reference scenarios considered in the project will be due to: optimization of trnsportation logistics and support for energy communities. The project will last 30 months.
