Human-Centric Augmentation for Advanced Manufacturing: Enhancing Worker Performance and Safety through Industry 5.0 Technologies
Project The WASABI 2.0 project aims to develop advanced solutions for the physical and cognitive augmentation of workers in the manufacturing industry, with the goal of improving worker safety, efficiency and wellbeing.
Using emerging technologies such as exoskeletons, smart gloves, augmented reality and AI, the project aims to reduce physical and cognitive load, promoting an inclusive and resilient workforce.
The project will develop a range of solutions, including: Using emerging technologies such as
exoskeletons, smart gloves, augmented reality and AI, the project aims to reduce physical and
cognitive load, promoting an inclusive and resilient workforce.
The main activities include: the design and development of ergonomic devices (months 1–
16); testing in real production environments (months 13–28); and training
workers to adopt the technologies (months 17–30). The project also includes extensive
dissemination of results through workshops, conferences and scientific publications
(months 17–32).
