Formulation of Three Lubrication Problems in Terms of Complementarity

It is shown that the cavitation, the mixed lubrication and the tangentialvelocity slip problems can be rigorously described in terms of the complementarityformulation. The salient aspects of this formulation are discussed.A numerical example dealing with the tangential velocity slipproblem in a lubricated rigid slider is presented.
