Open Educational Resources per l'accoglienza dei rifugiati

The increase in the number of asylum seekers, refugees and unaccompanied foreign minors in Italy represents a challenge for the services and makes clear the need for updating and specific training of the operators involved. The changes also have an impact on the education and training system, which has a specific relevance in the construction of integration paths, both for adults and minors. An example is the case of intercultural mediators, transversally considered important in social and educational policies but not yet fully recognised at professional level. Starting from an Erasmus + project called ReCULM Upskilling Cultural Mediators, aimed at providing open access and multilingual training materials for mediators dealing with asylum seekers and refugees, the paper presents the skills required to mediators working in such contexts and the challenges for training system, together with the role that Open Educational Resources can play, connecting different actors of education.
