Organizational identity in transition over time

Chapter
Publication Date:
2000
Short description:
Organizational identity in transition over time / K. G., C., D. A., G., Fabbri, T. - In: Time in Organizational Behavior / C.L. Cooper, D.M. Rousseau (Eds). - STAMPA. - Chichester, West Sussex : John Wiley and Sons Ltd, 2000. - ISBN 0471496510. - pp. 95-110
abstract:
The paper argues that the idea of individual identity as something enduring over long periods of time is a hindrance to the understanding of organizational (not only individual) change and consequently proposes to view identity as having continuity in its malleability. Organizational identity, image and reputation are associated phenomena or research issues that might benefit from such an attributional shift.
