Stereotipi e pregiudizi. Stereotypes and prejudices / Zannoni, Federico. - (2017), pp. 607-615.
abstract:
Since childhood, ethnic stereotypes and prejudices influence the way we know and our behaviors. They are based on a kernel of truth, which inexorably
stiffen and generalize, reinforcing positive attitudes towards members of our own group and accentuating the distance towards members of out-groups.
It is not possible to eradicate them, but an education aimed at consciousness raising can allow us to manage them, limiting the harmful effects. Through the
deconstruction of stereotypes and prejudices we predispose ourselves to the contact, to the encounter, and then to dialogue.
