Digitalisierung der politischen Kommunikation. Eine politolinguistische Analyse der Twitter/X-Kommunikation ausgewählter AfD-Politiker

This paper investigates the changing nature of German-speaking political communication on social media by analysing a corpus of tweets/posts from the AfD party (Alternative für Deutschland). The goal is to find out whether the external communication of some AfD party members on Twitter has changed, if they show any reference to more traditional forms of communication such as public speeches, participation in talk shows, etc., and which linguistic means these party members strategically use to ensure that their messages reach a wider audience of followers. To achieve this, the paper has the following structure: one paragraph (2) describes online political communication, a second (3) focuses on Twitter/X; a third (4) deals with the selection of the corpus and the method used. The last (5) concentrates on the qualitative linguistic analysis of a selection of tweets/posts.
