Abstract:
Additive manufacturing is currently being widely investigated in the field of electrical machines. This 3D printing technology can indeed enable complex geometries and reduced material waste, thus potentially overcoming some of the limitations of traditional manufacturing methods. This study focuses on an additively manufactured Fe-Co-V alloy, specifically FeCo49V2, and investigates the impact of a two-stage heat treatment on its magnetic properties. The experimental results underscore the critical role of heat treatment in optimizing the magnetic performance of additively produced FeCo49V2, and appear to demonstrate negligible influence of the build direction.
