SHORT BIOGRAPHY OF
EDUARDO GIANFRANCESCO


Born in Rome, Italy, August 2th 1966.

Since June 1th 2020 Full Professor (Professore ordinario) of Constitutional Law at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia (Department of Law), where he teaches Public Law and Public Law of Authorities.
Previously: Professor of Constitutional Law; Regional Law; Parliamentary Law; Public Law of Economics; Constitutional Justice at the Universities of Rome-"Tor Vergata" (Researcher, 1996-2001); Università del Salento (Contract Professor, 1999-2000); Teramo (Associate Professor, 2001-2005 then full professor, 2005-2008); LUMSA – Rome and Palermo (Full Professor, 2008-2020).

Since 2011 he is Associate Member of "Istituto di Studi sui Sistemi Regionali Federali e sulle Autonomie (Issirfa) Massimo Severo Giannini" of C.N.R. (Research National Council).
Previously he was: Advisor of the “Guarantee Commission for Implementation of Law no. 146/1990 about Strikes in Public Essential Services” (1992 – 1999); Assistant of Mr. Judge Massimo Vari of the Italian Constitutional Court (1999 – 2000); Juridical advisor of the following Italian parliamentary parties in the Italian Senate: "Margherita - DL - L'Ulivo" (2001- 2006), "L'Ulivo" (2006-2007).

Among his main fields of interest: Regional Law; Parliamentary Law; Fundamental Rights, also in European perspective.

His articles have been published in “Giurisprudenza costituzionale”, “Le Regioni”, “Rassegna parlamentare”, “Diritto e Società”, “Consulta On Line” “Italian Papers on Federalism”, “Rivista Aic”, among others constitutional Reviews. He has also contributed to Springer Commentary to Teu (Treaty on European Union) in 2013 (H.J. Blanke – S. Mangiameli Eds.): Art. 17 and 18.
