ORAZI Leonardo

Leonardo Orazi was born in Rimini (Italy) on February 28, 1968. He obtained a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Bologna in 1993. In 1995 he was admitted to both the PhD courses in Applied Mechanics and Mechanics of Materials of the University of Bologna, choosing the latter.
In 1998 he obtained his PhD in Mechanics of Materials at the University of Pisa with a thesis entitled "Mathematical modeling of structural impact: parameters influencing the fatigue threshold" (in Italian). After a 1-year post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Bologna in 2001 he became researcher in Manufacturing Engineering at DISMI – Department of Sciences and Methods for Engineering, University of Modena and Reggio Emilia. He is Associate Professor in "Manufacturing Engineering and Production Systems 09 B1 ING-IND/16" at the same university since 2014. He has been held the lectures of "Mechanical Manufacturing Processes" and "Non Conventional Manufacturing Processes" for the Degree and Master’s Degree Courses in Mechatronics Engineering and the lectures in "Integrated Manufacturing Systems" for the Master’s Degree course of Management Engineering. He cumulated more than 3000 hours of didactic activities. Since 2003 he is member of the scientific board of the PhD School in Industrial Innovation Engineering in Reggio Emilia, tutoring three PhD students.
