Project The project aims to create a hardware-software platform for the retrofitting and revamping of non-sensorized industrial plants, with the purpose of endowing them with smart and Industry 4.0 features. This involves self-diagnosis of mechanical components, estimation of their remaining useful life, updating of the maintenance plan, and communication with the user. The system will be based on diagnostic/prognostic techniques coupled with a Machine Learning algorithm with self-learning capabilities, making it adaptable to a wide range of industrial plants and capable of refining its estimates over time. The system will enable cost-effective modernization of industrial plants installed before the Industry 4.0 revolution, but with particularly long amortization periods and estimated useful life, placing them still at the beginning of their life cycle. The economic validation of the system will be carried out through a Cost-Benefit analysis, allowing for an assessment of its feasibility for both a specific component and the entire plant. The system will be installed in the pilot plants of participating companies, forming development laboratories to validate the system and subsequently develop customizations and support its engineering.
