Che cos’è la democrazia? Appunti per l’interpretazione di una forma di Stato

The essay aims at illustrating the issues underlying the complexity of the operations variously aimed at defining democracy and, consequently, the distinctive features of the corresponding form of State. Starting from a reflection carried out by Gaetano Salvemini, the contribution dwells on some invariants of democracy, isolating the institutional consequences and the most recent evolutions, and arguing in favor of a plural and harmonic reconstruction of the democratic paradigm.
