The scientific activity, carried out mainly in the field of Analytical Chemistry - Chemometrics for the study of food matrices, is divided into thematic areas which can be summarized as follows:
1. development and application of rapid and non-destructive analytical techniques based on chemometric approaches for the control, characterization and valorisation of raw materials and finished food products;
2. development of new algorithms for the analysis of signals and images, for the selection of significant variables and for the study of complex systems;
3. product and process optimization using multivariate experimental design techniques.
